  • The purpose of a Flock Supervisor is to protect the Perdue Farms, Inc. brand name. Improve company profitability by serving as a representative overseeing the inventory of poultry on his/her route. In doing so the responsibilities will involve direct interaction with all departments of the company that are associated with our contract producers. The Flock Supervisor is responsible for maintaining good communication and flow of information from the company to contract producers and vice versa. Responsibilities also include ensuring that all requirements are met or exceeded with include but not limited to current prescribed department and company initiatives.

    • Maintain assigned route square footage to meet the demands established by sales to fulfill customer orders.

    • Work directly with assigned contract producers to improve company profitability and competitive position by implementing production programs and documenting producer compliance at each visit to the farm.

    • Maintain route compliance to Poultry Welfare, Food Safety, and Environmental “Best Management Practices” to maintain a strong brand image.

    • The ability to monitor chick placements, bird weights, flock movements, mortality and feed inventories. The ability to assess bird health, administer proper field vaccinations, prescribe treatment, and perform various testing on birds to identify disease and relay finding to management.

    • Demonstrate competency with poultry health and disease as it relates to poultry production.

    • Always act in a professional and courteous manner upholding professional and positive work image for self and Perdue Farms.

    • Comply and follow company requirements regarding bio-security, food safety and poultry welfare programs and policies at all times.

    • Manage company vehicle and operate in a safe manner complying will all Perdue, state and federal requirements/policies and use only for work related purposes.

    Base Pay: Salaried

  • This position oversees the production lines or areas processing poultry products and sanitation of the processing areas. Requires working with, raw and/or cooked poultry products.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversees work at various stations along the production lines processing poultry food products.

    • Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.

    • Ensures that the qualities of the products are being met according to the product specification of QA and USDA.

    • Ensures that all equipment throughout the departments are running smoothly.

    • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

    Base Pay: $19.10/hour

  • Maintains, services, and performs repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems.

    Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Reads, interprets, and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets and safety policies.

    • Performs equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdowns.

    • Performs specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations.

    • Monitors performance of equipment and informs maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.

    • Maintains logbooks by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards.

    • Provides "hands on" training and direction to lower-level mechanics and techs in properly servicing, repairing, and maintaining the equipment operated by the Company.

    Base Pay: $21-30/hour

  • This production position works in a production area processing poultry products. Requires working with live poultry, raw and/or cooked products. This position will monitor new hire ramp-in process; assist with on-the-job training; communicate company rules and regulations pertaining to safety, hazardous communication, and ergonomics and assist supervisor with reaching department goals and objectives as it relates to safety, retention and production.

    Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-the-job training and follow-up on hazardous communication, safety, ergonomics, and other subjects with associates.

    • Maintain necessary paperwork and documentation for the new hire ramp-in process.

    • Oversee all daily activities which take place in each area of responsibility. Know and communicate all quality and production goals to associates and achieve them.

    • Attend and hold regular team meetings with new hires; to communicate on quality, production, and safety items.

    • Ensure that daily production and processing goals are met in accordance with USDA and company standards.

    • Hold the ability and skill to perform all jobs of each position within their area.

  • Monitors production processes of the facility to ensure all products meet company quality and food safety requirements during plant operations to ensure compliance with all company, regulatory and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.

    Duties and Responsibility:

    • Ensures product meets internal and customer specifications and takes appropriate actions when a noncompliance is noted.

    • Accurately conducts product reviews for compliance to include grading, packaging, and weights.

    • Performs and accurately records quality checks on product and regulatory checks as specified within company programs and USDA regulations.

    • Monitors associates’ work practices and addresses any deficiencies noticed immediately while continually evaluating potential for foreign material contamination while in assigned work areas.

    • Inspects equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to start up and records findings.

  • The essential purpose of a SPC checker is to accurately perform preventative checks on in- progress and finished products for defects.

    • You will be required to retain product when necessary and recheck product.

    • You will also be required to perform preventative checks on belts, bolts etc. for missing parts, document findings.

    • You will need to communicate and notify leads, trainers and supervisors of any issues that arise.

    Base Pay: $18.60/hour

  • The Refrigeration Technician maintains, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts refrigeration, boiler and compressed air equipment in areas of responsibility by analyzing, calibrating, replacing, repairing or rebuilding all equipment and machinery within established guidelines.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoots and repairs any problems in the refrigeration area plus any refrigeration equipment in the production area including air compressors.

    • Operates and maintains all refrigeration equipment.

    • Reads, interprets and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative maintenance (PM) sheets and safety policies and fills out and completes work sheets and machine check lists.

    • Adjusts all machines to operate at established performance standards.

    • Provides work direction and training to lower-level operators and/or technicians.

    • Works independently when called upon for mechanical trouble shooting and repair of the refrigeration department equipment or its related production equipment. Performs emergency shutdown, startups, reset and restart failed equipment and put all systems back online.

    • Must wear personal protective equipment as position requires and perform job duties within established company OSHA safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.

    • Must have clear understanding of refrigerant expansion with pressure temperature variables

    • Must be able to direct and train operators

    • Working knowledge of departmental PC’s.

    • Must perform as a Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) team member after certification from Perdue.

    • Troubleshoot and repair Refrigeration and Ammonia problems.

    • Troubleshoot and repair Electrical Controls on the Refrigeration and Ammonia Systems.

    • Maintain all engine rooms, compressor rooms and roof areas in a high state of cleanliness at all times.

    Base Pay: $19.10/hour

    • Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
