Kentucky American Seeds had its humble beginning as a seed conditioning plant in 1987 in downtown Hopkinsville, KY. In 2019 it expanded its workforce and footprint with the addition of full-service retail agriculture staff and locations across the state. As we begin 2024, KAS currently has seven locations including: Elizabethtown, Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Marion, Mayslick, and the Patriot Ag locations of Clinton and Mayfield. We are dedicated to our customers, and are looking to add new, motivated, and hardworking individuals to our team.
Operations Trainee
Job Description
In this position you will learn the daily operations of retail agriculture and be asked to perform those duties after being properly trained. Duties will consist of but won't be limited to operating a forklift, order fulfillment, order loading, treating seed, batching fertilizer, training to operate custom application equipment, and training to operate custom application tender trucks.
Program Benefits
Base Pay: Pay is hourly, based on experience, and determined by the location manager.
Full time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance. Other benefits include a 3% matching Simple IRA retirment, annual profit sharing bonus, overtime, and paid time off.

Desired applicants should possess a strong work ethic with the ability to be self-motivated and arrive on time each day.
This position is only available at Clinton, Elizabethtown, Madisonville, Marion, Mayfield, and Mays Lick locations.

Seed Processing Trainee
Job Description
Duties would include but not limited to learning and assisting in seed cleaning/ treating process, filling seed orders, bagging conditioned seed, stacking seed bags, operation of a fork lift, and loading/ unloading tractor trailers. Employees are expected to be able to communicate and collaborate with their colleagues. Employees will also be expected to assist in keeping the warehouses organized and clean.
